I grew up in Michigan and spent many years in New York City, first as a Photo Editor and later, as my interest in health and healing grew, as a Certified Holistic Health Coach and also an Enrollment Counselor at the nutrition school I had attended, before finally landing in beautiful Cheshire, Oregon. Now I’m primarily a massage therapist and a farmer-of-sorts: I provide therapeutic massage services to my local community out of my beautiful home studio, and, with my husband and farming partner, raise dairy goats, chickens, and a variety of food plants on our little farm.
When we moved to Oregon, my background in nutrition and interest in healthy living made massage therapy a natural choice for study. I completed Lane Community College’s Massage Therapy program and received my Oregon license in 2008. In addition to a solid foundation in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, I have pursued further education in Traditional Thai Massage, Hawaiian Mana Lomi Massage (a form of Lomi Lomi), Prenatal Massage, and most recently, Cupping. As a complement to my home practice, I also provide massage services at Veneta Massage Therapy in Veneta. My experiences there, along with my previous work with motor vehicle accident clients at Cascade Health Center in Eugene, have shown me deeper insights into the body’s response to trauma, and massage therapy as a powerful tool for returning to balance.
I take great joy in providing the very best massage I am capable of, to each and every client that comes through my door. I look forward to serving our community with therapeutic and relaxation massage for many years to come.
